What is the difference between the Huck and Indy shorts?

Huck shorts are cut for a slim fit and come with an adjustable waist; the side tabs allow for sizing down one full size. Indy shorts feature a regular fit which is slightly looser in the legs, and they come with a semi-elasticated waistband.

What is the difference between the '5' and '7' shorts?

The 5 shorts are shorter than the 7 shorts; the number refers to the inseam measurement in inches. Both shorts hit above the knee for a tailored look; the 7 shorts land a few centimeters above the knee, and the 5 shorts sit mid-thigh.

What size should I choose?

Our shorts have a tailored fit so we recommend choosing a size up from your regular (e.g. jeans) size. If you’re unsure of your size, get in touch and we'll sort you out.

What if the shorts I ordered don’t fit me?

Not to worry; we offer free exchanges. Get in touch and we’ll work with you to get the right size.

Do the shorts need to be worn in?

Wearing them in is not necessary, however our swim shorts do get increasingly comfortable over time, as they are made from high quality polyester microfibre that will soften with wear and washing. Follow care instructions as per the label.

How does the self-locking zipper work?

Our swim shorts feature self-locking zippers that prevent them from coming undone. Any sideways force on the zipper will lock it, i.e. prevent it from opening. The easiest way to open them is to pull down straight; and even easier with the button closed.

Are there specific care instructions for the shorts?

It's best to follow the care instructions on the label in the shorts: machine wash cool, do not dry clean or tumble dry. And rinse the shorts in fresh water after they've been exposed to salt water.

Are all the shorts made in Sydney?

Yes, all our clothing is made in Sydney.

What is Tencel fabric?

Tencel is a lyocell fibre, made from the natural cellulose found in wood pulp. Lyocell manufacturing, and Tencel in particular, is an extremely environmentally friendly process: it is derived from a renewable and sustainably harvested raw material (wood), its manufacturing is a closed-loop system (one in which no waste is generated), and its fibres are part of a self-contained raw material cycle, making them biodegradable.

What are the benefits of Tencel fabric?

Tencel is softer than silk, stronger than cotton and cooler than linen. It keeps your skin feeling dry and cool thanks to the smoothness of its fibres and the excellent moisture wicking. It has natural breathability and feels extremely soft and pleasant, and it is anti-bacterial, resistant to developing odours and wrinkle-resistant.

What are the care instructions for Tencel?

Make sure you follow the care instructions on the label; machine wash cold using the gentle (delicate) cycle or dry clean, do not tumble dry and cool iron only. Note that Tencel will shrink about 3% (~2cm) with the first washing, and will resist shrinking from then on. When Tencel comes out the washer and/or off the drying line, the garment can appear quite small as the fibres contract when wet: it will stretch back to its usual size once it is worn.

Where are your t-shirts made?

Our Tencel t-shirts are made in Sydney's garment district, and the fabric we use is knit in Melbourne from raw material from Austria.
